Referral Programme Terms & Conditions

Referral Programme – Terms and Conditions

Last updated: April 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern the Referral Programme (the "Programme") available on the Jober platform (the "Platform"), operated by Jober Ltd, registered at 406 Teyleur, Manchester, M50 3AQ, United Kingdom, company number 15328589 (the "Owner"). The Programme enables registered Candidates to earn rewards by referring potential applicants to job vacancies, and enables Employers to attract candidates through referral-based recruitment. By participating in the Programme, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Part A: Terms for Candidates (Referrers)

1. Who Can Participate

  1. To participate in the Programme, you must have a registered and verified Candidate account on the Platform.
  2. Participation is voluntary and free of charge.

2. How It Works for You

  1. When an Employer activates a referral programme for a job vacancy, you can generate a unique referral link for that vacancy from the job details page.
  2. Each referral programme has one of two payout models, chosen by the Employer:
    • Per CV – you earn a reward each time someone applies for the job through your referral link;
    • Per Hire – you earn a reward when someone you referred is confirmed as hired by the Employer.
  3. The reward amount per referral is set by the Employer and is displayed on the job vacancy page.
  4. Each referral programme has a maximum number of candidate slots set by the Employer. Once all slots are filled, no further referrals will be paid for that vacancy, even if new applications are submitted through your link.

3. Payment Guarantee

  1. Before a referral programme goes live, the Employer is required to pay a deposit to Jober covering the full cost of all referral reward slots. This means your earnings are guaranteed by Jober – you do not depend on the Employer paying you directly.
  2. Jober will pay out your earned rewards once the payout conditions are met (application received for per-CV programmes, or hire confirmed for per-hire programmes).

4. Minimum Payout Threshold

  1. Referral earnings are payable only once your accumulated balance reaches a minimum of 50 PLN, 50 EUR or 50 GBP (depending on the currency of your earnings).
  2. Earnings below this threshold will remain in your account until the minimum is reached.

5. Tracking Your Earnings

  1. You can track all your referral activity in the Referrals section of your Candidate Panel, including:
    • number of clicks on your referral links;
    • number of applications submitted through your links;
    • number of successful hires;
    • total earned rewards.
  2. You can view detailed information for each referral programme you have participated in.

6. How to Share Your Referral Links

  1. Share your referral links wherever you like – the more people see your link, the higher your chances of earning rewards. You are encouraged to share widely using any lawful means, including:
    • Social media – posts and stories on Facebook, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc.;
    • Online forums and communities – Reddit, Discord, Slack, Facebook Groups, etc.;
    • Messaging apps – WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, etc.;
    • Email – send your link directly to friends, family and contacts;
    • Personal blogs, websites or newsletters;
    • Word of mouth – recommend the job in person to people you know.
  2. You may refer multiple people to multiple job vacancies simultaneously. There is no limit on the number of referral links you can generate.

7. Sharing Rules – What You Must Not Do

  1. When sharing referral links, you must not:
    • misrepresent the job vacancy, reward amount, or working conditions;
    • engage in spamming or unsolicited mass messaging;
    • violate the terms of service of any third-party platform used for sharing;
    • use deceptive practices such as disguising the link or misleading click-bait.

8. Prohibited Activities

  1. The following activities are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification from the Programme and may lead to account termination:
    • self-referrals (applying for a job using your own referral link);
    • submitting fake, fabricated or duplicate applications through your referral link;
    • using bots, automated scripts or any form of artificial traffic generation;
    • creating multiple accounts to circumvent Programme rules;
    • any other form of manipulation, fraud or abuse of the referral system.
  2. The Owner reserves the right to withhold or reclaim Referral Rewards where fraud or a breach of these Terms is detected.

9. Tax Obligations

  1. Any Referral Rewards received may be subject to income tax or other taxes in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for declaring and paying all applicable taxes on your referral earnings.

Part B: Terms for Employers

10. Setting Up a Referral Programme

  1. Employers may activate a referral programme for any active job vacancy published on the Platform.
  2. When setting up a referral programme, the Employer defines:
    • the referral reward amount per candidate;
    • the payout model: per CV (reward paid when a referred candidate submits an application) or per hire (reward paid when the Employer confirms the hire);
    • the maximum number of candidates the Employer will pay referral rewards for.

11. Deposit and Payment

  1. Before a referral programme becomes active, the Employer must pay a deposit covering the total cost of all referral reward slots. The deposit is calculated as:
    • Referral fee × maximum number of candidates, plus a 10% service fee charged by Jober.
  2. The deposit is collected via Stripe and held by Jober. The referral programme becomes active only after successful payment.
  3. Jober uses the deposit to guarantee payment of Referral Rewards to eligible Referrers. Referrers do not depend on the Employer paying them directly.
  4. Once the maximum number of candidate slots is filled, the referral programme is considered completed and no further referral rewards will be paid for that vacancy.

12. Employer Obligations

  1. For per-hire programmes, the Employer must confirm hires promptly and in good faith. Deliberately failing to confirm a hire to avoid paying a referral reward is a breach of these Terms.
  2. The Employer must not discriminate against Referred Candidates in the hiring process solely on the basis that they were referred through the Programme.
  3. The Employer remains responsible for all data protection obligations regarding Referred Candidates' personal data, in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Are you a Candidate? See Part A: Terms for Candidates above.

Part C: General Provisions

13. Platform Role and Liability

  1. The Owner collects deposits from Employers and guarantees Referral Reward payments to eligible Referrers on behalf of Employers.
  2. The Owner does not guarantee the availability or continuity of any referral programme. Employers may choose not to activate referral programmes for their vacancies.
  3. The Owner shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from disputes between Referrers and Employers regarding job vacancies, hiring decisions, or working conditions.

14. Modifications and Termination

  1. The Owner reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Programme or these Terms at any time. Changes will be published on this page.
  2. Employers may deactivate their referral programmes at any time. Referrals completed before deactivation remain eligible for rewards under the original conditions.
  3. Continued participation in the Programme following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Governing Law

  1. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
  2. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
